The Prince Edward County Festival of Trees, like most events, will look a little different this year. There will be three familiar parts to the Festival held in unfamiliar ways. As always, though, all proceeds will go towards buying necessary equipment for the PECM Hospital.
Instead of our silent auction of decorated trees and donated items, there will be an online auction. The same variety of beautiful trees and other desirable items, donated by local businesses and private citizens, will be on auction. Only the format will be new. Bids will open at 10 AM on November 12 and will close at 9 PM on November 27. For more information and the link to the auction go to the Festival website at PecFestivalOfTrees.ca.
The Christmas Boutique will still offer a fine array of Christmas decorations, gift items, linens, books, home décor, jewellery and more. It will be held this year at the Auxiliary Second Time Around Store on November 28 and 29, from 10 AM to 3 PM both days. For more information go to the website PecFestivalOfTrees.ca .
The Festive Food Sale will offer pies, soups, tarts, fruitcake and shortbread. These will be available at the Auxiliary Office at the Picton Hospital, please enter through the entrance at the back of the Hospital. Items can be picked up and paid for on November 27 (4 to 7 PM) or November 28 or29 (10 AM to 3 PM). Ordering ahead is recommended to ensure that you will not miss out, but there will be a small selection available for “walk ins”. The order form can be viewed at the Festival website PecFestivalOfTrees.ca
